Kim Bader's holistic journey began in 2015 when she made a life-changing decision to explore alternatives to ADHD medication. Seeking a more natural approach, she found support from a local mind-body-spirit therapist and began practicing yoga. Just three months into her practice, during a moment of deep stillness in savasana, repressed childhood memories of sexual abuse surfaced, thrusting her mind and body into shock. Diagnosed with PTSD, Kim sought the help of a trauma therapist, but found that talking about her experiences only retraumatized her. Medications offered little relief, as their harsh side effects made them unsustainable. Feeling trapped, powerless, and hopeless, she realized that traditional approaches were not enough.
Determined to reclaim her life, Kim took her recovery into her own hands. She enrolled in an intensive trauma recovery coaching program through the International Association of Trauma Recovery Coaches, which helped her understand the complexities of her condition, but it didn’t provide the tools she needed to fully heal. Recognizing this gap, Kim turned to somatic embodiment and regulation training. These techniques gradually restored her autonomic flexibility, allowing her to return to the yoga mat and eventually complete a 200-hour yoga training program and Mindfulness certification class.
Kim's approach is a heartfelt blend of compassion and grounded expertise, deeply informed by her extensive training in trauma recovery and holistic health. She holds a steadfast belief in the transformative power of embodied practices, seeing them as essential tools for building resilience and fostering a gentle yet profound shift toward harmony within oneself and with the world.
Her vision extends beyond individual healing; Kim is driven by a dream of a more peaceful and sustainable world. She is dedicated to creating programs that not only nurture personal growth but also contribute to the collective well-being of our communities. In her work, she places a strong emphasis on building trust, promoting sustainability, and nurturing a deep sense of belonging. Through her gentle guidance, Kim helps others cultivate a deeper connection with their bodies and the world around them.
